What is hypnosis? How hypnosis works. Brain wave frequency. The subconscious mind. How to speak to the subconscious mind. Copyright music/subliminal music - advice on using music in therapy. Laws of suggestion - why clients respond to suggestions whilst in hypnosis. Signs of trance - how to tell if your client is hypnotised. Waking the client from trance. Abreaction - methods of dealing with clients who have remembered a bad experience whilst in hypnosis. Anchoring - how to give a client a trigger that they will act on after the session. Regression - regressing clients back to a time in the past when they had problems so that they can deal with them now. Phobias/Panic attacks - methods to use on clients in or out of trance. Essential qualities of a counsellor - questions to ask your clients to get them to respond to you. Modules of behaviour - is you client passive/manipulative /aggressive or assertive? The Miracle Question - a method for changing a clients future outlook. Emotional freedom therapy - introduction to (EFT) as used by Paul McKenna on TV theory and the opportunity to use (EFT) on others. Transference essential knowledge needed by therapists to protect themselves. Depth of trance - estimating how deeply into trance your client is. Glove anaesthesia free script - Practical session of hypnosis students learn how to cause numbness in any part of the body. Coping with grief - free script - advise on what to say to comfort the bereaved - Children in hypnosis - how to deal with enuresis, bullying, confidence issues, and other childhood problems. Students will learn the method of taking children into hypnosis using a ten pence piece, also a technique using their favourite toys to take children into deeper trance. Automatic drawing - Whilst in hypnosis the client draws a picture of what is troubling them. Students practise the technique and review case studies of the results achieved with the automatic drawing technique. Waking suggestion - clients are awake but still perform tasks given to them. Students will learn Hand levitation - raising clients hand off the table Hand clasping - client unable to unclasp their hands walking the tightrope and many more waking suggestions. Rapid inductions - Practical students learn how to get a client into hypnosis in minutes. Past life regression - Practical demonstration by the tutor, then students have the opportunity to conduct a past life regression session - free script.
Hypnotherapy Training Home Study
The Guild of Therapeutic Hypnotherapists training course is so well structured that it can be taken as a correspondence course.
The course is identical to the in house training; you will receive two comprehensive manuals, a DVD and ongoing email support from a tutor assigned to deal with your emails. The tutor will give you extra tuition if necessary.
You will be required to provide some evidence that you have performed the practical sections of the course.
As you perform each section the person you have performed the practical demonstration with will sign a witness statement. This is in your interest as it helps you to evaluate your progress.
With your tutors support you should have no problems achieving your certification.

Membership
After obtaining their diploma students are given the opportunity to become a member of The Guild of Therapeutic Hypnotherapists.
It is entirely up to the student if they want to take out membership.
What are the advantages of Guild Membership?
Members' certificates state that they are a member of The Guild of Therapeutic Hypnotherapists which adds to their professional status.
Members are entitled to put the initials MGTH. (Member of the Guild of Therapeutic Hypnotherapists) after their name.
The Guild has produced three CDs which are copyright to the Guild. Weight Control/Smoking Cessation/Stress and Confidence with relaxation and subliminal music.
Members are entitled to play the music to their clients during a session.
Members have licence to copy the CD and sell them to their clients generating further income.
Members' are entitled to use the Guild logo in their advertising material.
Members will receive a free tri fold brochure on disc with the guild logo on.
The brochure informs potential clients that you have trained with the guild to an advanced level; it gives an explanation of the benefits of hypnotherapy.
You simply add your personal details to the brochure and you have an excellent advert for your business.
Members have the opportunity to apply to run the Guilds training course.
To become a life long member of the Guild there is a one off administration fee of £30.
All students are entitled to a free listing in the Therapist Directory which potential clients can refer to when looking for a therapist in their area.

They will be available for the duration of your stay, recommending the best restaurants, and advising you of places to visit in your leisure time.
Between your hypnotherapy training you will have days to relax and enjoy the beauty of Cyprus.

After you have completed your hypnotherapy training in Cyprus your tutor will invite you to a meeting giving you the opportunity to ask the tutor any questions you may still have.
During the meeting a Chief Executive of the Guild will present students with their Advanced Diploma, with a glass of champagne to wish them luck in their new career.
The meeting has been known to extend into the evening with the advanced hypnotherapists enjoying an evening meal together whilst relaxing in like minded company.
